What was the real cause of Rogue not being in Overwatch League?

We were all shocked and frustrated when we learnt that the best team in Overwatch, Rogue would not be able to find a spot in the Overwatch League Season one. Apparently it might be due to the organisatin holding out for more money at the cost of the players’ career. Ofcourse this comes from Thoorin, who has little credibility in Overwatch.
