EQO fined for his actions, issues public apology
EQO, the DPS player for Philadelphia Fusion was recently in the news for his impressions of Overwatch Korean players. The action which was totally insensitive to racial overtones has been condoned by everyone. As such the Overwatch league has decided to fine him $1000. He has also been punished by his own team. The announcement was made on the official webpage.
On Sunday, April 1, Philadelphia Fusion player Josue “Eqo” Corona made a racially insensitive gesture on his Twitch stream, violating the Overwatch League’s Code of Conduct. As such, he is being fined $1,000 by the League Office.
