Blizzard plans to use machine learning to combat toxicity in its games
Overwatch is the hottest game for Blizzard right now. However they are facing a growing case of toxic behaviour within the game. We have several players bullying the new players and always being toxic in their communication. It has created a very bad environment for the players as they would definitely result in players leaving the game or not touching it at all.

According to a report by Kotaku, Blizzard has decided to employ machine learning to combat toxicity. They have already taken several steps such as detailed report features, extensive ban list etc. Jeff Kaplan in an interview with Kotaku mentioned that they will be focussing on what the community wants them to focus, and at the moment it is toxicity along with moira and Blizzardworld. We’re not sitting here with our heads in the sand,” said Kaplan. “You have concerns, and your concerns are now one of our top priorities. If that means the thing we’re gonna focus on as much as Moira and Blizzard World is toxicity, then we’re gonna do it.
