Blizzard announces their eSports Arena in Burbank, Los Angeles
Blizzard have already announced that they will be holding the Overwatch League at a centralised location for Season 1. Not only will this create ease in terms of logistical planning but also provide ample time and opportunity for the teams to actually build their fanbase and work on it. Los Angeles is definitely a big city for esports and is considered the esports capital of the world

The arena is a 50,000 sq feet arena and used to be home to the famed Burbank Studios. It will provide seating for 450 viewers live at the venue. It will also feature three studio spaces, practice facilities, two control rooms and a retail store with Blizzard merchandise that changes based on the events taking place. Obviously most of these merchandise will also be available online for fans to buy and support their favorite teams.

Fans will get their first look at the Blizzard Arena on October 7–8, as the Overwatch Contenders Season One Playoffs take center stage. A summer of intense competition in the West will culminate in a live event, where the top four teams from North America and Europe will battle over the biggest slice of a $100,000 USD prize pool per region. Tickets are on sale now at universe.com/overwatchcontenders – if you can’t wait to get a taste of the Overwatch League in-person experience, you won’t want to miss out on this opportunity.
