Assembly to host $9500 ASUS ROG 2017 tournament
Assembly have announced a $9500 LAN Overwatch tournament. The tournament will be held at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Prize pool, which falls short of the $10000 mark is mainly keeping in contention with Blizzard´s licensing policies. Blizzard is known to collect fees from tournament organisers based on the total prize pool of the tournament.

The tournament will feature eight teams, two of them have already been decided. Rest In Pyjamas and ENCE Esports will be the two first invites to the tournament. This is yet another addition in the Overwatch Pro Scene. Just a few weeks back, most of the analysts were clamouring for more tournaments and more organisers to step into the scene. The lack of LAN events at the time, definitely seems to be a thing of the past. With the Overwatch Contenders, BEAT Invitational and the upcoming ASUS ROG LAN tournament the esports scene is definitely going to be busy in the upcoming months.
