Staffordshire University to offer UK’s first eSports degree.

Staffordshire University will launch UK’s first esports degree in September 2018. UK has been a laggard in EU in esports, however considering the number of organisations based off UK, it is no doubt that UK will form a major role in esports in the years to come. The degree will be a three year course with :

• Year one: An introduction to eSports and the business behind gaming events.
• Year two: Students will be asked to develop and deliver a “team-based eSports event.”
• Year three: Undergraduates will create a “large-scale” commercial eSports event from start to finish, while also creating a business plan for an eSports company.
