Ana takes a break temporarily; OG to announce a fifth player soon
OG was one of the notable absentees from the first Dota 2 Major of the new season. Virtus Pro won the Kuala Lumpur Major. They won a cash prize of $300,000 and took home 4950 Dota Pro Circuit points. However, the first Major also had of the best teams in Dota 2 absent. TI7 winners Team Liquid and TI8 winners OG were absent from the Kuala Lumpur Major. Their absence does not diminish Virtus Pro’s accomplishment, however, it might make it tough for those teams to qualify for TI9. OG has announced that they will no longer field Ana on their Dota 2 roster. The player wants to take a break for now. It is not a retirement but just a prolonged break from the game. He might return at a later time, however, OG has not specified anything of the sorts in their public statement. er.com/OGesports/status/1064463517347192832
Thank you to all the guys in this team, it was a pleasure playing/working again with them plus some new members! I would also like to thank ppasarel and Charlie for being such great assistance to myself and the team. For now, I think more time is needed for myself and right now my motivation lies elsewhere. Good luck to these great bunch of guys and I wish them the very best! OG will always be a happy place! Anathan “ana” Pham
Ana moves to the substitute position on the team

Ana still remains on the OG payroll, but he will move to the substitute position. This means that OG is on the lookout for a 5th player to add to their roster. For now, OG will prepare for the next Dota 2 Major qualifiers and hopefully the Major itself. To the fans, Thank you all for showing us this incredible positivity and support that helped us throughout TI. Couldn’t have done it without you. The dota 2017-2018 season gave us a lot of good games and a few new faces, but Ana is somebody we all knew and to think he’d return to us after close to a year of not playing together. What a journey this year was, and to my own surprise what an ending it had.
When I think back at TI8 Ana Ember pops into my head and leaves me smiling, wonder what other people think when someone says TI8 Ana. Johan “N0tail” Sundstein

This is what Notail had to say to Ana:
To Ana,
Thanks brother, thank you for the best few months of my professional life. To see you lay the haters down one by one and keep climbing higher is a true inspiration to me and others that see it. Can’t wait to see you soon down under my man, all the best <3 Johan “N0tail” Sundstein
The Chongqing Major European Qualifiers start from the 28th of November 2018. OG has only a week left to announce its full roster for these qualifiers.
