WCA postpones their event to 2018

WCA 2017 was supposed to take place towards the end of 2017. However the tournament organisers have announced that they will be shifting the entire tournament to 2018. This comes as a surprise, since it was widely believed that most of the teams were ready to play on the assigned dates. The principal reasons for this shifting was attributed towards not only due to the events, tournaments schedule and player plan conflicts”, but also because of “Christmas and other major tournaments like ELEAGUE Major. With only the Chinese and the Wild Card qualifiers still to be played, here is how the list of participants of WCA 2017 Finals, which will be held in Yinchuan, China, currently looks:
