Richard Lewis : Chinese Match-fixing update

A while ago, esports journalist Richard Lewis had published a video depicting the disappointing results and integrity of Chinese CSGO teams. While he had hoped that CSGO in China would mean more investment into CSGO along with a huge bump in the player base, it has not lived upto his expectations.

On the other hand, we see a lot of Chinese teams being involved in Match-fixing and similar activities. Considering the fact that these teams are situated in China and presumably out of reach of the US Law, there is little that most can do to stop such activities. Valve could potentially ban their IDś and IP addresses, but that will not stop the root cause of the problem Even with the take-off of esports gambling, match-fixing still remains and historically esports betting sites like Pinnacle have refunded all bets on the fixed match.
