Dafran still in Atlanta Reign, Apologizes to fans for messing up.
Earlier this week, Dafran took the Overwatch community by storm when he announced that he will be quitting Overwatch. The impromptu decision was always going to be difficult to believe for the fans. Dafran is one of the most talented players not to be a part of Overwatch League. Part of the reason was that of his volatile attitude. In June 2017, Dafran was banned from competitive play for soft throwing on a Lucio in pub games. His competitive ban extended to the end of the season. As a pro player, Dafran reached his peak during his time on Selfless, the player was a lethal combination alongside Sinatra, the other DPS player on the team. Sinaatra is currently a part of the San Francisco Shock in the Overwatch League.

A few hours earlier, Dafran uninstalled the game and his tweet pointed to a potential termination of the contract with the Atlanta Reign. The Overwatch Community was aghast at the news as it would deprive them of an opportunity to watch their favourite player. Dafran, a former Mcdonalds employee hinted that he would go back to working at Mcdonalds in order to earn some money.
The proper response to what happened today with Dafran is simply to react with sadness. What we lose here is the potential redemption story of one of the greatest mechanical talents to play Overwatch. Instead, we gain a reminder that the life of a pro player isn't for everyone.

Dafran takes back his statement Dafran has taken back his statement since then. He mentions that the actual decision was not really a bait but he really wanted to quite Overwatch. Ultimately, however, it does seem like the Atlanta Reign management talked some sense into him and convinced him to continue.
Still in ATL Reign, didnt quit like I said. I messed up, dont know what to say except sorry to the community, my fans and ATL. It wasnt jebait, sometimes I have these days and make dumb mistakes. Going forward im going to stream less and focus on making myself and my team better

We will watch Dafran in action in February 2019. The player will require a lot of attention and support staff in order to prepare him mentally for the demands of the Overwatch league.
