Cloud9 receives a $25 million investment

Cloud9 recently took part as one of the participating teams for Overwatch League. At the same time, they are also a part of the League of Legends franchise model from next year. Being one of the few teams that can partake in both League of Legends and Overwatch; the team is one of the most recognizable organisations in esports industry.

Cloud9 have raised $25 million in Series A financing from notable companies and other parties. The latest investors in Cloud9 are WWE, the Beverly Hills Sports Council, Monumental Sports & Entertainment co-owner Raul Fernandez, Creative Artists Agency co-founder Michael Ovitz, venture capital firm Founders Fund and a joint investment from tech investors David Sacks and Bill Lee. Some past investors have also decided to step up their investment in the organisation. These investors have definitely found their investment worth their while.
